Boy Graduate: Offshore Exposure

September 04, 2020

Filipino-Australian Cameron Klepiak also known as Boy Graduate, might be an artist we feature here on Offshore Exposure as someone who we just heard coming from the land down under but he is more than that and a great addition to the music scene of Cebu, Philippines. When we first heard of him from friends in the scene, we right away got the impression that he was serious with his career coming from the notable success he experienced in Australia. Highlights including his breakout single in 2018, a track called “I’m Not Ready” featuring Chicago-based Brian Fresco of SaveMoney Gang which gained national recognition on Australian airwaves, Triple J, and the HIT Network.

Spending the majority of his time in Cebu last year, Boy Graduate took the time to tap into his deeper sense of being, embracing his culture and connecting with a network of artists from the Southern part of the Philippines. Boy Graduate became part of the music movement and now a channel Beat This Philippines, getting interviews and being part of both Cebu and National events.

Boy Graduate connected with great camaraderie that made him a regular in Cebu’s music circuit, with that effort he collaborated with Cebuano rapper Saad Rhy on a track called “Beshy” last May 2020. Boy Graduate is pushing for more releases this year, now he is back again with his latest release “Two Days” featuring African-Australian Kwasi. "Two Days" serves as a warning to all "potential love interests" in Boy Graduate's peripheral, noting that the opportunity to court him may soon expire due to finding “the one” sooner than he thinks. Grown tired and frustrated with the chasing game - he pleads with those who have shown interest to “open up” and be vulnerable as it may be their last opportunity to do so.

Unstoppable you might say, Boy Graduate from what we know is not just doing this for his music path but he is now connecting with both the Philippines based acts and Filipino abroad music artists to be able to bridge the gap of what is Filipino Global music. Be sure to keep up to date with his socials as he continues to roll out singles throughout 2020.
