“ Katapusan is talking about having that person coming back anytime just because they can and they try to make a fool out of you by making you fall for it. And in the song, we conveyed the feeling “you’ve messed with me before but you know what, this is the end. ”
Things that feel like the end are new beginnings in our lives, and Route 83 shows us how there’s nothing to fear when relationships end, even though sometimes the end or katapusan could be a scary thing to think about. Listening to the track made me feel empowered more than anything else as if I’m taking a stand and fighting against all the irrational fears playing inside my head I love how the artist shared that their favorite line was
“I refuse to get lured by your tricks that’s so old like a joke”
To put your foot down and truly say that "This is the end, and I know my worth." Is an inspiring and empowering message to all of us. From performing at the MYX Awards 2020 to covering editorial playlists on Spotify, the two even shared how they performed in the Dinagyang Festival of 2020 in Iloilo, citing it as it was one of their most memorable performances. Route 83 is inspired by notable artists such as Bebe Rexha, Charlie Puth, Ed Sheeran among many other singer-songwriters.
Though Route 83 has announced in the Routies group (the official group page for Route 83) that they will be taking a break to focus on growing individually, we are truly excited about the power and talent these individuals will bring in the future!
