Episode 017
We are so pumped up right now as we discover more and more Filipino music artists globally, reaching out to us and sending in their work. What we started a couple of years back has fully grown into a platform and a voice for everyone out there who wants to connect with the motherland.
Time to bring you Episode 17 where we highlight Iloilo-based Filipino DJ Producer, DJ Young, as he collaborates with Dumaguete-based singer-songwriter, Sam Akins with a banger track called “Come For Me”. DJ Young is The Chosen One for the week and is bundled together on our playlist with great new finds.
You're awesome host STEPH will be introducing SIX brand new songs into The Chosen Dozen playlist, from artists such as Nieman & Moira Dela Torre, Larrenwong, YNISH, BeeBop ROCSteady, Karrtii, and brayll & Ner!
Also, FIVE previous tracks have been kept in The Chosen Dozen for your listening pleasure including Twellly (USA), Rocky Sandoval (USA), GMC & Adrian Swish (AUS), Elijvh (USA), and August Wahh (PH).
We also have our Wild Cards plus the Bonus Tracks while we look back on a release way back in August of 2021 by Manila-based Indie Pop duo Leanne & Naara from the Philippines for our FLASHBACK TRACK segment with the song “Anticipation” which was also a collaboration effort with Filipino-Canadian artist-producer, August Rigo. Another new segment was added for the show called THE CHOSEN CLASSIC where we highlight a track that was a hit for us from way way back, this time from Manila-based rap artist, Curtismith and DJ Producer, Moophs, called “Follow” released in April of 2018.
