Blending in two different languages is not a feat just any artist can actually accomplish, most artists are only able to write in their native tongue or in English, the universal language. Australian-based Filipino rapper Sin Santos, who has been featured here multiple times in the past, does exactly this on his latest release titled “Vibe With Me” under Warner Music Philippines on the 25th of February 2022.
The track “Vibe With Me” sees Sin Santos writing in both Tagalog, which is his native tongue, and English on the other parts of the song. The hook of the track features infectious melodies with him singing lines like “Akoy alipin para ibigin ka”, a nod surely to Sin Santos hometown of Bulacan, where the people mostly speak Tagalog. The production on the track is done by Adrian Swish, a frequent collaborator of Sin Santos who has worked with him on his previous release “Frenzy”, which uses a guitar as the main melody really bringing about the island vibes on this track.
Sin Santos has just started making moves for 2022, with this release already landing him an interview on MYX Global and Wish Bus USA, with the song also making rotations on various Spotify editorial playlists. His previous release “Who’s Speaking” has also made him land a spot on both offline and online media like newspaper outlet Sunstar and Yahoo News. He’s been back on shows around Melbourne as well, making appearances at the Royal Melbourne Hotel, the Laundry Bar, and even doing a performance in the Camako Boxing Match Show.
