After the success of his album launch for SAINT ELIJAH last January 30, 2019 at The Apartment Makati, Josef Elijah Fabian also known by his stage name Zelijah, doesn’t show any signs of pausing, with the release of his latest offering “Jolina”. The music release is composed, arranged, produced, mixed and mastered by Zelijah showing how this individual is a go getter when it comes to his artistic craft. With the support of John Roa on backing vocals, “Jolina” is a track you definitely should include in your playlist, we know we did.  And with a music video to top it off, it also shows how versatile this DJ/Musician/Music Producer as he also co-directed it Reika and the help of Martial Law Productions, which is visually captivating and now a favorite of ours.

Based in Manila, Philippines, Zelijah never had any formal schooling for DJ-ing and Music Production. He learned by watching random tutorial videos on Youtube for years, sitting in on studios, and watching mix engineers do their job. He primarily produces Trap and Hiphop music, but has branched out, drawing influences from Blues, Jazz, Funk, Future Bass, Ambient, Hardstyle, Pop and Experimental Music.

“Jolina” is a very subjective song. Its meaning may vary from your typical sex music to toxic relationships and to sensitive topics like depression and anxiety. The genre of the song is Hip Hop fused with blues and future bass elements. It would surely take you back to the blues era and at the same time make you bop, chill, and hop.

Zelijah’s claim to fame is his “Sila” Remix which garnered millions of hits and airplay on radios, clubs and music festivals. He is currently working as a freelance arranger/producer for artists under prominent record labels including Universal Music Philippines (MCA Music), Viva Records, Star Music, as well as independent artists alike. He also officially remixed tracks from Because, Karencitta, One Click Straight, Al James, and Sitti. Zelijah has rebranded by producing music for himself as a rising rap artist/singer in the local scene.
