Aloura
Remember all the excitement and fun at the start of a new relationship? The feeling of having butterflies in your stomach, the feeling of your heart pounding so hard that you believe it can be heard by everyone, and the world going in slow motion upon seeing the person you like. All of these things feel wonderful not until you realize that you have fallen in love and that you have to roll the dice and confess your feelings. If you’re a little lost on what to do, listen to Aloura's newest single "What Are You Waiting For", a song about waiting for her ultimate crush to confess.
Risk and rejection were things that came to mind when I heard Aloura's newest track "What Are You Waiting For". We are all afraid to take the risk of making the first move for fear of rejection. The singer-songwriter and producer Aloura brings together playful lyrics with a jolly sound that has a lively synth rhythm.
The single "What Are You Waiting For" shares a somewhat similar theme with Aloura's previous track "Do You Like Me?" which is about liking someone who doesn't like you back. "What Are You Waiting For?" is about liking someone who also likes you back but you're just waiting for them to confess it.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve been stuck at home sitting idle, but for Aloura who's been in the music industry for 2 years now, she’s been adjusting to our new reality with things such as virtual gigs and creating fresh and creative concepts for her songs and live sets.
Aloura cites modern artists such as Taylor Swift, Halsey, and Ariana Grande as her biggest influences in music. She's had a lot of success in her career for such a short time. Aloura has been featured in Spotify playlists like New Music Friday, OPM Rising, Pinas Vibes, OPM Workday Marathon, & Good Vibes. Her single "Secret" was also featured in an article of local fashion magazine Mega. Aloura has had performances in WWF Philippines & Originals Only PH and is steadily gaining well-deserved attention with more than 1 million streams on Spotify.
Make sure to catch Aloura as she continues to put out more exciting music this year. Support her on her social media channels to catch her future projects and releases.
